Hanalei Bay Resort - 22-acre tropical resort with direct beach access on Kauai's North Shore

Accommodations

The resort offers spacious condo-style units that include a full kitchen, separate living area, and two full bathrooms. Each unit has a private lanai with views overlooking the tropical gardens or Hanalei Bay. Guests can book one-bedroom or two-bedroom suites that also provide in-unit washers and dryers in select privately owned condos.

On-Site Recreation

Hanalei Bay Resort has an award-winning tennis facility with six well-maintained courts and year-round professional coaching led by director Mary Hannz. The property offers two outdoor pools, including a free-form lagoon pool surrounded by tropical gardens, plus a grotto-style spa and hot tub. Guests also have access to pickleball courts, a fitness center, and equipment for tennis and fishing.

Dining & Services

The Happy Talk Lounge opens daily at 3 pm and serves dinner and drinks with live music and panoramic views of the bay and mountains. WikiPizza on site provides pizza, salads, and gluten-free crust options for lunch and dinner. The resort's concierge service helps guests book Na Pali Coast tours, Waimea Canyon hikes, and other island activities.

Beach Access & Outdoor Amenities

A paved walking path leads directly to Hanalei Bay beach, where guests can swim, snorkel, and fish. The resort provides a complimentary golf cart shuttle to and from the beach, as well as free beach chairs, umbrellas, and towels upon request. The beach is shared only with one neighboring resort, offering a quiet and private shoreline with shade from large trees.

Location & Nearby Attractions

The resort sits on 22 acres of tropical gardens in Princeville, 55 km from Lihue Airport. Within a 15-minute drive guests can reach Hanalei town, the Hanalei National Wildlife Refuge, and the Makai Golf Club. Day trips to Waimea Canyon and the Na Pali Coast are also easily arranged through the concierge.
